Willow Tree Sanctuary

a child that lived in her own private world

beneath the Willow in the meadow

she loved watching the world

go by outside her leafy curtains

she dwelled there for hours

in a wondrous earthy

and secluded world beneath the Willow's boughs

shadows of memories embrace her heart

when autumn winds

sweep away the  leafy curtains

a place where this child played

is then open to the world

until this ethereal world's curtain

once again

hides this little one's secrets

in memory of a childhood dreamer...me~

  5. Childhood Dreamer... I am one of those. As I grew up, I spent hours under the weeping willow with my dearest friend. We would climb into the big boughs and bare our souls and hearts to each other. We would laugh and sing, dream and any unsettling of the heart would always be fixed, there in the big Willow tree.
I was six then and this continued until I was nine. I lost my mom in that time and life changed so much but our tree and friendship remained and now whenever I remember back it is with a sweet smile, a very big sigh and a happy heart.
    Blessings dear dreamer one... hugs

  7. This was lovely...We also had a willow tree where we would hide and play and know that all was well with the world... a sanctuary for my best friend and me in our youth
